Leicester eventually cruised to a 5-1 victory after Faye Nash had pegged back Hannah Macleod's opening goal. A Crista Cullen PC strike restored the lead by half time. In the second half Leicester moved up a gear and Kerry Williams and Hannah Macleod had put the game out of Bowdon's reach before Anne Panter finished things off with the fifth. Leicester will play Reading in next week's final.

Leicester ended this game as a contest within 11 minutes as Crista Cullen came back with 2 PC's in the eighth and 11th minutes. Lucy Brown stole in at the far post for the third on 19 mins. Further goals by Beckie Herbert(2), Hannah Macleod and Lauren Turner gave Leicester a seven-goal victory that means they finish top of the premier division table. Maddie Hinch saved a late penalty flick to keep her clean sheet and deprive Birmingham of a consolation goal. BUCS winners Birmingham have the Cup to concentrate on but miss out on the play offs.

Less than a year after representing England in Europe Olton find themselves in the play offs to stay in the top flight. In a tight game Olton found themselves a goal down to a Dawn Mitchell effort on 22 minutes. With Olton being frustrated in their attempts to get back into the game Carla Dunnett doubled Clifton's lead on 62 minutes. Ironically Cilla Parkes finally pulled one back for Olton but with seconds on the clock it was too little too late. Cannock's 3-1 victory vs Birmingham Uni meaning they climbed above Olton into 8th and another year in the Premier Division.

Surbiton's controlled passing and steadfast tackling won the day over Sutton's attacking style,. Surbiton took the lead in this cup semi-final through Emma Rowland-Jones early on and Sutton were always chasing the game. Jane Sixsmith drew them level after rounding the keeper and firing home for 1-1 only for Sutton to concede a soft second to Helen Grant before half time.
A Vicky Woolford solo run gave Sutton a second leveller and it seemed they had gained the advantage only for another Rowland-Jones cross-shot that may have gotten a touch from Grant at the far post sending Surbiton through to meet Bowdon Hightown in the final on May 14 -

Leicester played in second gear throughout and gained three points in quiet fashion.
With no Crista Cullen and Katie Long injured, Leicester welcomed back Anne Panter this weekend after a long lay off. A first-half strike from Hannah Macleod wasn't added to until late on when Beckie Herbert grabbed two in the final 10 minutes. This result means Brooklands are relegated. -

In what was probably the best game of the season so far Loughborough leapfrogged Sutton Coldfield after winning this topsy-turvy tabletop clash. A Giselle Ansley PC strike gave the students the lead but goals from Sarah Mills and Vicky Woolford gave Sutton the advantage by half-time. Holly Brown found herself through on the keeper and drilled low underneath to draw Loughborough level. In a very competitive game Sutton Coldfield's downfall was largely due to their inability to convert any of their many PC opportunities, credit to Loughborough's defending. Finnola Busbridge scored Loughborough's winner shooting past Becky Batsford. Lots of tears and celebrations at the end and it's games like this that make you just how much it means - Andy Smith.
The Northern Division advantage is now with Lufbra but with both sides still to play Durham it's not all over just yet. -

An unusually tense and quiet Sutton Coldfield had trouble getting fired up for the first half of this top vs third encounter. Hannah Norman caught Sutton cold after only two minutes to unsettle the home side. A series of quality passes between Vicky Woolford, Sarah Mills and Celia Butler saw Butler have a simple tap in to equalise.
However Sutton's woes returned when Cat Horn slid in to re-establish Wakefield's lead and if it wasn't for a missed penalty flick late in the first period Sutton may never have come back.
Soon after the break Vicky Woolford managed to add to her season's tally when she fired home under the gaze of her man marker. A well worked PC soon after let Clare Florida-James hit home what proved to be the winner and leave Sutton two points ahead of next week's opponents Loughborough in what must be the northern title decider. -

Cannock threw away a deserved 2-0 lead to let Olton out of jail. With Jess Wood and Jo Leigh running Olton ragged, the Olton side who beat Slough yesterday hadn't turned up.
Cannock took the lead when Latasha Webb scored from PC, soon after Amy Turnbull scored the goal of the game with a wonderful strike. Olton were given a lifeline midway through the second period when they too converted a PC shooting past Sabbie Heesh. With about 10 minutes left Emma Mccabe scrambled home an equaliser to keep Olton 2 points ahead of Cannock. -

Cilla Parkes turned back the clock to provide one of the shocks of the season. Parkes struck Olton's opener only for Nic White and Katie Shanahan to turn things round.
Just when you thought it was going to be the same old story Cilla struck again and cracks started to appear in the Slough team. Rachel Clift claiming a touch on an Emma McCabe shot gave them the lead and a well worked PC saw Naomi James shoot past Becky Duggan. -

Sutton Coldfield finally managed to excise their Sunderland hoodoo with an emphatic 4-1 victory. Vicky Woolford scored twice early on to take her season's tally to 21. Clare Florida-James restored Sutton's two goal margin before half-time from a well worked penalty corner after Joss Plummer had scored for Sunderland.

Leicester looked like having frustration get the better of them for the second game running. Katie Long gave the visitors the lead on 27 mins but they were pegged back by a Cilla Parkes strike that seemed to rally Olton. It wasn't until a Cullen PC conversion that Olton were broken. A clearly relieved Leicester added late goals by Rogers(2) and MacLeod to give them a deserved if flattering scoreline.

A Birmingham side handicapped by the loss of nine first teamers, due largely to U21 training camp, found themselves behind to a Buckingham side who were well supported and ready for the battle in this England Hockey women's cup tie. With the sides evenly matched Bray was given an opportunity to win it 10 mins from time when Birmingham were awarded a penalty stroke but Anna Searle touched the ball past the post.
Then in extra time, Bray managed to deflect a penalty corner into the net at the end first period to send Birmingham into the semis.
