Not the most nailbiting game of the day but most certainly the most entertaining and the best. Loughborough winning with goals by David Condon and David Beckett. Great sporting effort from the Exeter supporters who gave exeter their best attention and traded songs and banter with the euphoric Loughborough entourage. Loughborough had an early effort disallowed after a change of mind of the umpires when Dom Bowden was still celebrating. Captain Condon gave Loughborough the lead from close in half way through the first half and Beckett made it safe in the second.

In a very nervy encounter that provided no goals and very few chances, Helen Fagg was the Loughborough heroine with a terrific save from a Steph Elliot flick. Finnola Busbridge kept her nerve to put Loughborough ahead and Fagg saved the final Durham flick from Cherry Seaborn to send the midlanders to the BUCS final.

After two nailbiters at Highfields, Birmingham left nothing to chance as they destroyed a lively Bath side who were well supported by a banner and tannoy weilding posse who provided lighthearted banter and encouragement to the players and opposition support alike. Birmingham should start favourites in the final versus Loughborough.
