Last season's English premiership finalists both impressed with fine wins over Spanish opposition on the final day of competition. EG defeated the mighty RC de Polo de Barcelona 4-3 – a game decided by a Darren Cheesman deflected goal – while Beeston overcame hosts Ateletic Terassa 2-1.

Jamie Dwyer back at Bloemendaal after German move falls through

NOS (Netherlands) reports Australian hockey star Jamie Dwyer will play for Dutch club Bloemendaal this season.
Dwyer announced, at the end of last season, he would move from the Netherlands club to Mannheim in Germany. But this deal appears to have fallen through.
Dwyer is now listed in the Euro Hockey League squad for Bloemendaal so English viewers should be able to see him in action in the EHL when he returns from the New Delhi Commonwealth Games.
