New Zealand 4 China 3
New Zealand overturned a 2-1 half-time scoreline to pinch fifth spot in the women's Champions Trophy at Nottingham.
China's half-time lead came through two excellent goals, a PC just under the crossbar from Ma Yibo and a reverse strike into the top corner from Zhao Yudiao. New Zealand's first-half goal came from a left baseline run by Charlotte Harrison who picked up the richochet from her own shot to score.
Katie Glynn smashed home a PC to level the scores at 2-2, another Ma Yibo drag-flick put China ahead in the 44th minute. Piki Hamahona finished a New Zealand breakout to level for the Kiwis, then Gemma Flynn slid in to Net the New Zealand winner. Goalie Bianca Russell saved the day in the dying miutes, snuffing out a two-on-one break with a sprawling stick interception.
