Rosario - hard to get to, but worth it
33 hours – that was my door-to-door time to get to the hockey world cup in Rosario.
The itinerary was as follows:
1.30pm leave flat to walk to Westcombe Park Station
1.46pm Westcombe Park to London Bridge (slight delay - signal fault at Woolwich)
London Bridge to Gatwick
Gatwick to Madrid - two hours late taking off about 6pm as 'plane hadn't arrived.
Missed connection at Madrid. 3 hour wait for next flight to Argentina (scheduled for midnight, left about 1.15pm
Arrive Buenos Aires 9.30 am (1.30pm UK time)
Told 'all the buses to Rosario are full'
Took taxi to bus station arrived about 11.30am
Loads of buses to Rosario caught 12.30pm, arrived 5pm
Taxi to splendid Hostel Quechua in my room by 5.30pm (9.30pmUK)
Had a quick stroll around town before I passed out. It really remids me of Paris - brilliant. More tomorrow when I wake up!
