Dutch champs Bloemendaal host coaching clinics in Edinburgh
Current Dutch hockey league champions Bloemendaal will visit Edinburgh this October to offer a fantastic opportunity for children and young adults to attend two coaching clinics at The Mary Erskine School, in Edinburgh.
Some of the top international players, including Laurence Docherty, Teun De Nooijer, Ronald Brouwer, Eby Kessing, Japp Stockman, Tim Jenniskens, Nick Meijer, Wouter Jolie, and Rogier Hoffman, will be attending the coaching clinics to offer their experience and advice to young players from around the country. There will be eight different skills sets being taught at each session.
Edinburgh-born hockey international Laurence Docherty is organising the coaching clinics, and is enthusiastic about returning to Scotland, “We are excited about coming to Edinburgh to offer this great opportunity to young Scottish players. Bloemendaal is one of Holland’s most famous hockey clubs and I’m sure that youngsters across Scotland will be excited by the prospect of learning new skills with some of the world’s best international players.”
“There will also be the opportunity for children and young adults to meet new people from other schools and clubs around Scotland, which can only be good for their social development too. I’m sure we provide an exciting and enjoyable couple of days for all who attend.”
The coaching clinics will take place on Saturday 16 October and Sunday 17 October at The Mary Esrkine School, Edinburgh, EH4 3NT.
Saturday 16 October

The cost of a session at the coaching clinics is only £15, which will contribute to helping Bloemendaal raise funds for a pre season training camp in Argentina.
