Hosts East Grinstead and three other sides qualify for EHL KO16

EAST GRINSTEAD, October 26 - Day two at the Euro Hockey League saw four teams grabbing their tickets for round two.

HC Bloemendaal (NED) were the first team to qualify in Pool G. As Lisnagarvey HC (IRE) pulled back to a 3-3 draw after having been trailing 3-0 at halftime against Lille MHC (FRA).

Bloemendaal will definitely finish in the top two of this Pool.Host club East Grinstead (ENG) as well as Waterloo Ducks (BEL) marched through to the knock-out stage thanks to Waterloo’s 4-0 win over SC Stroitel Brest (BLR) who finished last in Pool D. East Grinstead and Waterloo Ducks will play off for the first place on Sunday.

Beeston turn over Dutch champions Amsterdam

BARCELONA, October 13 - Beeston secured their place in the Euro Hockey League round of 16 with a 5-4 defeat of Dutch champions Amsterdam H&BC. The Bees came from 4-2 down with Martin Jones, David Ames and Mark Wadsley scoring in the last ten minutes of the match to secure top place in Pool A.

Beeston defeated Grunwald Poznan 6-0 in their round one opener on Friday.

Beeston and Grange fly the flag in Europe

BARCELONA, October 11 - The Euro Hockey League returns tomorrow with Beeston and Grange flying the flag for Britain in Spain. 

Beeston face Dutch champions and 2012 EHL silver medallists Amsterdam H&BC  along with Polish champions WKS Grunwald Poznan in Pool A. Pool C sees German champions and EHL newcomers Berliner HC playing against HC Rotterdam (NED) as well as Grange HC  of Scotland.

Euro Hockey League comes to England

EAST GRINSTEAD, August 21 - The top-level European men's club hockey competition, the Euro Hockey League (EHL), is coming to Britain for the first time.

Sussex club East Grinstead will host round 1.2 of the competition from October 26-28, 2012. Vsiting clubs include Reading, Glynhill Hotel Kelburne (SCO) and Lisnagarvey (IRE). Round 1.1, featuring Beeston, will take place in Barcelona from October 12-14

In round one of the EHL 24 clubs will play in 8 pools of 3, at two venues The clubs finishing first and second in each pool will progress to round two (KO16). 

Hosts East Grinstead have been drawn in Pool D, England champions Reading are in Pool B and Beeston in Pool A. Scotland's Grange HC and Glynhill Hotel Kelburne feature in Pool C and H respectively. Ticketing details will be released soon.

East Grinstead and Barcelona to host Euro Hockey League first round

The Euro Hockey League (EHL) and the European Hockey Federation (EHF) have announced the draw and venues for Round 1.1 and Round 1.2 of the forthcoming 2012-13 season.

Round 1.1 (October 12 – 14, 2012) will be hosted by the City of Barcelona (ESP). East Grinstead HC (ENG) will host Round 1.2 (October 26 – 28, 2012). 

Reading HC (ENG), KHC Dragons (BEL), Saint Germain HC (FRA), Waterloo Ducks (BEL), SC Stroitel Brest (BLR), Lille MHC (FRA), HC Bloemendaal (NED), Lisnagarvey HC (IRL), Glynhill Hotel Kelburne (SCO), KTHC Rot Weiss Köln (GER) and AHTC Wien (AUT), will all be playing at the Sussex club.

UHC Hamburg win their third Euro Hockey League title

Uhlenhorster HC have won their third EHL title in the fifth Euro Hockey League (EHL) season. The Hamburg side defeated the hosts Amsterdam H&BC 2-1 in the first EHL Final which was decided in a penalty shoot-out.

Larensche MHC and HC's Hertogenbosch will battle it out for top honours in the EHCCC tomorrow

Larensche MHC will meet HC's Hertogenbosch in Sunday's EHCCC final while Uhlenhorster and Club de Campo will play for 3rd/4th place. Laren defeated UHC 2-1 when the game went to penalties. 

Den Bosch extended their incredible unbeaten run by defeating the Spanish champions 1-0 in a close battle. Den Bosch haven't lost in a European Club Competition since 1999's final where they lost to Rot-Weiss Cologne on penalties. 

Amsterdam to meet Uhlenhorster in EHL Final

Amsterdam H&BC will meet Uhlenhorster in the final of the Euro Hockey League tomorrow. It was a day of heartbreak for the KHC Dragons on their first appearance in the EHL finals. After 80 minutes of hockey the score remained two all and the game was to be decided by a penalty shoot out - EHL style. Uhlenhorster edged it and won 2-1 on penalties making the final score 4-3. This will be their fourth final in the five year history of the competition.
