KHC Dragons and HC Bloemendaal are Euro Hockey League 2013 finalists
EHL’s Final Four started off with two thrilling shoot-out matches that determined the final two.
Bloemendaal, 18th of May 2013 – On Saturday May 18th, the first day of the Euro Hockey League’s Final Four, the four remaining teams in this tense European clubhockey competition fought for a place in the Final, which will be played tomorrow, May 19th. The two teams that won today, will go head to head to win the last game of the Final Four and crown themselves champions of the Euro Hockey League 2013. In the first match of the day, the Belgian KHC Dragons sealed their place in the final thanks to a stunning penalty shoot-out victory over German Rot-Weiss Köln. The last game of the day had to determine which Dutch team will take on the Belgian Dragons in the final, so HC Bloemendaal, the host of the EHL’s Final Four, and Amsterdam H&BC gave it their all. The determination of both teams paid off for the visitors in the cozy Bloemendaal stadium, with yet another thrilling shoot-out match to watch in which Teun de Nooijer’s dream of winning the Euro Hockey League in his last ever playing season remains alive and kicking after his HC Bloemendaal team reached the tournament final courtesy of a penalty shoot-out victory against Amsterdam H&BC.
