Victory in Valencia for England U21 Women vs Spain
ENGLAND Under-21 Women secured a second victory over hosts Spain in their three-match series in Valencia.
It wasn't as prolific as the 4-0 in the previous test but a goal in each half by Lauren Turner – 24 (PS) and Steph Elliot – 45 (PC) secured the win. However coach Andy Bradshaw commented,
“The Spanish were a bit better today. They put us under pressure which made for a more competitive game, but it was still great to get a clean sheet. We want to finish this series off tomorrow with a more convincing winning margin, and convert more of our possession into goals.”
