The Kookaburras have faltered in their final match of the 3 Nations tournament involving Pakistan and India, going down to Pakistan 4-3 overnight in Perth.

Back from injury: Kookaburra Luke Doerner - Treeby ImagesBack from injury: Kookaburra Luke Doerner - Treeby ImagesAustralia's build-up towards the 2012 London Olympics hockey competition continues to gain momentum, with key defender and world class penalty corner specialist Luke Doerner set to return from injury to compete against India and Pakistan at a three nations tournament in Busselton and Bunbury over the next week.

Doerner joins the list of injured star players including Jamie Dwyer, Mark Knowles, Tim Deavin and Des Abbott who have been injured throughout the year but have made successful comebacks in the last month, while defender Joel Carroll will also return from a hamstring injury at the tournament.

Kate Hollywood returns to Hockeyroos prior to Olympics squad selection

Hockeyroo veteran Kate Hollywood is set to play her first matches for the Hockeyroos since being removed from the national squad in January this year during a test series against world number four team China this week in Busselton, Bunbury and Perth.

Hollywood, who has played 139 international matches and was a member of both the 2006 and 2010 Hockeyroos Commonwealth Games gold medal sides, was named in the Hockeyroos development squad at the beginning of the year.
